CARINGSA places the health and well-being of our clients, their families and our staff as our number one priority. We continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation.

Caring SA safety measures

Dear families, friends and advocates

Today I am writing to you about the continued efforts to support our clients and staff as  COVID-19 continues to impact our community.

CaringSA clients, support workers and staff have been at the front line of the COVID-19 outbreak here in SA. Many disability providers in SA have experienced outbreaks and CaringSA is at the fore-front in infection control and outbreak management.

Since our last report CaringSA has been working with both clients and staff to manage the impact due to COVID. A number of clients and over 80 staff have been infected by COVID in recent months and we can report that all have recovered well.

CaringSA has been able to continue supports for clients during this time and we are continuing to maintain infection control protocols such as:

  • Fully vaccinated staff
  • Masks wearing by staff in all SIL homes
  • Increased house cleaning
  • Reminders around hand sanitation, social distancing & staying away from high traffic areas

There are some opportunities emerging for clients to receive a 4th vaccination in their home as well as a potential 4th dose for the wider community.  If this occurs LDS will endeavor to run another clinic at our Payneham Head Office.

Thank you to our community for your ongoing support.

If you have any immediate questions, please contact your SCSM or Team Leader.

Kind regards
